    If Earth really is spinning, bullets fired upwards would land hundreds of feet Westwards. They don’t.
    => actually, they do. It’s called Coriolis force. but the scale of the force is quite smaller than your thought. (Or you can see the difference by firing ICBM, without any guidance system.)
