There was a time not long ago that I believed there really was a divide between the east and west. There was a time not long ago that I believed Russia was the antithesis of the United States and in all outward appearances it seems that way. The alt-press has trumpeted Putin and Russia as the NWO killer and primary bulwark against western hegemonic aspirations. LMAO you dont understand history, context, or Christian symbolism/iconography. The church has been using these images for almost 2000 years bruh! The skull and bones has two meanings a) Christ was crucified on Skull Hill (skull represents Adam, the first man and his death) and b) Christ conquers death through death (so his crucifixion is placed OVER death).
Now what you see as a freemason symbol is actually an old icon of Cherubim…so I have no words.
I’ll even throw in an extra one: many churches have the “all seeing eye” which is actually the eye of providence. This is another ancient christian symbol representing the trinity, however masons did appropriate it…doesnt mean its theirs.
The orthodox church strictly forbids membership in groups like freemasons, if you look historically they have always feuded. I will say not all keep to this (as people are sinful in nature), example of some Constantinople Patriarchs having links to Masons (for which they were heavy punished and kicked out for).
Look a bit more at the actual meaning, rather than invent random things in your head…it will save you much embarrassment.
Orthodox Church has followed the teachings of Christ and the Apostles since the very first missions established by the apostles. You unfortunately miss out on many teachings and practices the Apostles had shared with early Christians, and told them too keep. Remember the bible was composed by the church fathers, and mass ownership of bibles wasn’t possible till the 1500s. Orthodoxy is the way Christians have practiced there faith for over a thousand years, with guidance from the Holy Spirit and Apostles!
