Commercial Air Flights on a Flat Earth Work Perfectly

Abu Dhabi to Fort Worth, Texas Flight Path

This graphic shows the path of a flight from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to Fort Worth, Texas, USA. The top graphic shows how the flight appears as it is tracked on a globe map. The bottom graphic shows how the flight path would look on a flat earth map. As you can see, the flight path on the ball earth map appears to take a strange northern loop and pass unnecessarily over land in the high northern latitudes. Why not just go in a straight line? On the flat earth map, however, the flight path going over land in the northern latitudes makes perfect sense, as it is a straight line from point A to point B.

Abu Dhabi to Ft. Worth Texas Flight Path

If Earth was a ball, and Antarctica was too cold to fly over, the only logical way to fly from Sydney to Santiago would be a straight shot over the Pacific staying in the Southern hemisphere the entire way. Re-fueling could be done in New Zealand or other Southern hemisphere destinations along the way if absolutely necessary. In actual fact, however, Santiago-Sydney flights go into the Northern hemisphere making stop-overs at LAX and other North American airports before continuing back down to the Southern hemisphere. Such ridiculously wayward detours make no sense on the globe but make perfect sense and form nearly straight lines when shown on a flat Earth map.— Eric Dubay 200 proofs Earth not a Spinning Ball

“On a ball-Earth, Johannesburg, South Africa to Perth, Australia should be a straight shot over the Indian Ocean with convenient re-fueling possibilities on Mauritus or Madagascar. In actual practice, however, most Johannesburg to Perth flights curiously stop over either in Dubai, Hong Kong or Malaysia all of which make no sense on the ball, but are completely understandable when mapped on a flat Earth.—Ibid

“On a ball-Earth Johannesburg, South Africa to Sao Paolo, Brazil should be a quick straight shot along the 25th Southern latitude, but instead nearly every flight makes a re- fueling stop at the 50th degree North latitude in London first! The only reason such a ridiculous stop-over works in reality is because the Earth is flat.”  ~ Ibid

According to the Federal Aviation Association, no air flights have gone the much shorter routes over the Arctic and Antarctic due to cold weather effecting flights as well as having to effect rescue over such inhabited areas (what about the oceans?!). Another reason that is given is that airlines would be required to carry special survival equipment (jackets, boots?), even though thousands of hours of flight time and fuel consumption would be saved by going direct instead of Westward and Eastward directions.

“If Earth was a ball there are several flights in the Southern hemisphere which would have their quickest, straightest path over the Antarctic continent such as Santiago, Chile to Sydney, Australia. Instead of taking the shortest, quickest route in a straight line over Antarctica, all such flights detour all manner of directions away from Antarctica instead claiming the temperatures too cold for airplane travel! Considering the fact that there are plenty of flights to/from/over Antarctica, and NASA claims to have technology keeping them in conditions far colder (and far hotter) than any experienced on Earth, such an excuse is clearly just an excuse, and these flights aren’t made because they are impossible.”                                                                                                                                    ~ Ibid

Your comparison for the flight between Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to Fort Worth, Texas is using 2 different flat map projections. The global comparison should use an actual globe for the flight path, not a projection that is known to distort dimensions.

With a proper comparison, I believe this route will fly over the same geographical features, with the same distance and flying time.

A more interesting comparison would be travel between points in a mostly east-west path that is near the southernmost points of Africa, South America, and Australia.

Perhaps simply calculating distances between identical pairs of longitudes, with one set on a northern latitude and the same set on the opposite southern latitude (where these are equally quite far from the equator).

If these are vastly different distances, that would seem to be evidence supporting the FE model. Any takers who are good with Lat-Long distance calculations?

Burnt toast we don’t do “beliefs” on this site.
do your homework before making stupid comments like this
like many other FE researchers have done before you
      and plz leave your
BE LIE systems to yourself, your not helping
also, look into FE maps, the Gleason Map, et. all
Africa and S. America are much larger than Heliohead theories.

To avoid any issues with the words I use, please strikeout “believe this” from the post and address the remaining ideas. If they are shown to be false, OK. If there is someone up to doing distance calculations, use that evidence to support the validity of the FE model.

The claim you made is how FE is accurate; pictures tell one story; comparison calculations should provide SOLID evidence to this question.

If you want to debunk something I said, provide evidence and feel free to point out any stupid parts. Otherwise it would seem your response is an opinion (or some similar synonym).

What you post on this page is flat out wrong. I have flown from Johannesburg to Perth and assure you that it took 9 hours, unless of course the plane went into some time warp and I lost the track of time. I also have known numerous people that have caught Sydney to Santiago flight, which indeed takes 13 hours. Kind of puts a spanner in the works in your ‘theory’

Sorry to say but I have flown many times from Argentina to Australia and the flight was from Buenos Aires to Rio Gallegos very southern region of Argentina then New Zealand and finally Sydney. So as you said “If Earth was a ball, and Antarctica was too cold to fly over, the only logical way to fly from Sydney to Santiago would be a straight shot over the Pacific staying in the Southern hemisphere the entire way. Re-fueling could be done in New Zealand” and that actually happens then we have to conclude according to your own logic that the earth is a ball.

This post says “Such ridiculously wayward detours make no sense”. I would say it all depends on what the airline is trying to accomplish.

When our family went to Florida a decade ago from southern Wisconsin, our first plane took us to Minneapolis, MN. No matter what the shape of the earth is, this “ridiculously wayward detour” also appears to “make no sense”. Perhaps the main question should not be the shape of the earth, but what are airlines trying to do with their flight offerings?

The non-ridiculous answer is they want to maximize plane seats used, and thereby profit margins. To do so they use a hub and spoke system of airports to route flyers in many directions, while attempting to leave few seats empty.

This is an excellent reason why planes have unusual connections as this post describes. No earth shape ideas in play in this scenario.

The flights Sydney to Santiago are direct. No stops for fuel. The range of a 747-400 is such that it could fly 2000 km further.

we live on a flat plane , all airplanes fly level at all times , there is no compensation for the curvature of the earth. to think we live on a globe earth is to believe in Santa Claus.

    • Zazoo May 11, 2017 at 1:39 am Reply

There is compensation for the curvature of the earth. Aircraft fly at altitude which is a measurement for the distance above the ground. As that ground curves so does the flight path, keeping an equal distance above the ground.

Did you even go to school. Its not like the plane is going to fly of the face of the earth if it is a ball. You know why? Gravity. Give me one fact based reason on why i’m false. Sincerely, a person.

      • TellMeSomethingThatMakesSense April 1, 2019 at 9:33 pm

That is also why it seems to make sense on a flat earth map. A flat earth map is based on a globe. The people who created it where try to make a representation of globe they could stick on a wall.

It has been said (on Youtube and other websites) before that the flights you mentioned do exist and are bookable but are limited in frequency and due to ….whatever bullshit excuse… none of the flights actually take place alternative flights are offered later but do not fly direct.

      • Rob October 17, 2017 at 9:19 pm

I know people that have taken that flight. Why the hell is flat earth a thing. Its been proven that the early pionerrs of this movemnet had been fruadsters and had been in it for the money. How the hell can millions of people from different walks of life able to hold a secret obout globe earth. As for NASA, globe earth was around way before it was even a dream. Satellites can be seen to go in or out of the sun shine, i see it nightly. Average people can observe all sorts of things that FE cant explain, except not correctly and by breaking the rules of physics.

  12. socair none October 17, 2017 at 1:29 am Reply

the obvious thing to try doing is take one of these flights and check the heading every 15 minutes or so using a compass.

The thing that stands out is that the FE believers can and do show lots of evidence to support their conjecture.

The global earth believers may spend time trying to dismiss FE evidence but do not actutally show any of their own to prove the world is a globe other than NASA images which are all CGI or fake looking as over the years the continents have changed sixe in proportion to each other.

I was brought up with the globe and the spherical earth indoctrination but I am consistently failing to see any evidence that the spherical earth exists.

I don’t follow your compass heading test; what is the FE prediction for a relatively straight-line flight path? How would data refute a GE?

Just read the comments above. Flight times, which are a bit hard to falsify. These prove the FE theory maps are wrong, leaves a big hole in the whole theory.
There are many other issues with FE maps.

Haha, “jackets, boots?”. It’s that simple huh? All you need in -10 to -120 F temperatures is some boots and a nice warm jacket.

A lot of “global earth believers” do provide evidence. Flat earthers just don’t consider it logically, if at all. I’m not going to provide evidence either, not because there isn’t any, but because all it takes is a few simple google searches and an open mind to realise that the earth is a sphere (or more accurately an ellipsoid)

I have a genuine question for you true believers though (since most flat earthers are trolls). Who benefits from spreading false information of a round earth? NASA is a federal government agency, not a corporation so they don’t profit.

  14. Shamus November 12, 2017 at 7:57 pm Reply

NASA benefits by continuing to fleece taxpayers billions, selling and buying contracts for builders, profiting PRIVATE corporations who provide equipment/supplies/materials (not to mention padded payrolls!)
Flat earth aside, the Antartica continent which was uncovered by Adm. Bird, openly stated that there was an area rich, tropical, and undiscovered that Americans could travel, and adventure into. (would never have said this if it were a frozen uninhabitable wasteland!) But post WWII/CIA control has it “Off Limits” to civilians, with only 1st world nation bases posted about coastlines. Where am I going with this? History! My dear Watson, America was discovered 200 years before the word was put out to civilians. Trade, looting, corporate trips, Spanish looting, etc. The Kings of today are the billionaires and elite. You bet your sweet bottom they’re down there right now, EXPLOITING the land for it’s riches before letting “Joe the plumber” explore it. Secondly, I’m 45 years old. I was taught in school that Christopher Columbus discovered America! We ALL were taught that and “THEY” knew DAMN WELL he didn’t! (Who stands to gain from that deception? Why was it implemented across the nation?) There are 2 forms of REALITY. #1 The TRUE history, and geography of the world and #2 The BULLSHIT education that’s fed to the masses that keeps us in the herd-bubble. I can imagine all of the private school/secret society jerkoffs laughing amongst themselves that the ‘plebes’ actually thought Chris Columbus discovered America? That plebes believed we actually landed on the moon? These psyops are COMPLETELY debunked now, but they were held as “TRUTHS” during the time. Flat Earth? Maybe. Dome? Maybe. Space travel? Bullshit. Antartica frozen wasteland? Bullshit! There’s a tropical center, and most likely TONS of gold littering the surface, and YOUR NOT GETTING ANY UNTIL IT’S BEEN SWEPT!

Fun fact: Planes are required to take slightly longer routes over land in case something goes wrong and they have to make an emergency landing. Doing that in the middle of the Indian ocean isn’t exactly ideal. But hey, who cares about the lives of the people on the plane and their safety when you can save flight hours and fuel right? You’re an idiot

    • EvidencePlease January 15, 2018 at 6:06 am Reply

I’m not sure how many overseas trips you’ve been on; maybe you could let us know.

We’ve been on a total of 5 flights across either the Atlantic, Pacific, or Caribbean , and the plane does indeed fly over the water. In some flights, we’ve flown over water continously for at least 6 hours.

I’m not sure how these facts relate to your safety concerns; but thought the evidence might be relevant.

Hey Dummies! Get a load of this!

      Perth to Dubai: 5,618 miles,
      >Dubai to Johannesburg: 3,994 miles – extra 4,447 miles; 10,065 total miles of flight.

Perth to Johannesburg: 5,165 miles; 5,165 total miles flight, – 453 miles less than to Dubai.

All gathered from the Google Earth globe model and Mercator projection with approximate distances rounded to nearest number with start and end points of the closest major airports – directly in the center of 2 or more runways. Only 1-2 miles of difference at the max in measurement.

Your telling me that your perfectly fine with trusting a distorted distance of OVER ‘5,500 MILES’ on the supposedly scientific mathematically calculated radius to circumference of the size of the earth as a magical spinning ball?? Ahem ‘blue marble’.

Forget the flights, look at the distance, you get on a flight from Perth straight to Johannesburg and have an app tracking live the miles you are traveling and keep videoing from takeoff to passing Madagascar to landing, and I GARAUNTEE that you will have flown over 9,500 miles or more, for 15+ hours flight time – at the very least.

This extra 5,500+ miles simply proves that the earth gets wider towards the Antarctica outer edge, WAY WIDER. Not smaller, if it did shape itself back into like the north pole(center of the earth!) then it would be perfectly logical to assume that the flight distance SHOULD BE SHORTER.
That is, if the bottom of this earth ball was the same as the top. We might as well live on a bouncing spinning ball that occasionally deflates itself due to loss of air pressure…thus the distortion of distance.

      Open your minds you dummies.

Shout out to Aplanetruth!! Real eyes – realize – real lies. Keep it up bro!

Still a few non-stop flights using the polar route on Antarctica. If the Earth was flat this was not possible.

    • nittlepickgaminghd December 26, 2020 at 2:58 am Reply

Ahem but what were you claiming…

‘The southernmost flight route with plausible airports would be between Buenos Aires and Perth.[28] With a 175° (S) heading, the route’s great circle exceeds 85° S and would be within 500 kilometres (310 mi) of the South Pole. Currently, no commercial airliners operates this 6,800-nautical-mile (7,800 mi; 12,600 km) route. However, in February, 2018, it was stated that Norwegian Air Argentina is considering this “less than 15 hours” trans-polar flight between South America and Asia, with a stop-over in Perth enroute Singapore’
‘Few airlines fly between cities having a great circle route over Antarctica. Hypothetically, flights between South Africa and New Zealand, or between Perth, Australia and certain destinations in South America (including Buenos Aires and São Paulo), would overfly Antarctica, but no airline has scheduled such flights.’

And of course if the earth was flat it would not be possible because its much wider going to the outer rim. The earth IS a flat circle with the inner being shorter than the outer.

On the contrary, we have been fooled, they actually base it on a flat earth circle map projection and then convert it into a spherical map projection. If they can do it one way your telling me they cant do it the other way too? See how it doesnt make sense what your saying.

  21. CaptKirk April 26, 2019 at 1:46 pm Reply

The problem with the FE model is. there isn’t any. It’s one model to explain one thing, and another model to explain something else. Die FE model is just a believe model. Similar to Santa Claus or religion. Their weakest point is Antarctica, where nobody can go, not mentioning that many cruises go there and plenty of scientist live there.
FE is a believe, it’s totally pointless to look for science to back it up, because that believe does not exist.

  22. RM October 24, 2019 at 4:44 am Reply

CaptKirk, I don’t consider myself FE. However, I have seen some videos of theirs that do a good job of calling the curvature of the earth into question, or it at least seems that way. Stuff that should go behind the horizon (based off of calculations) doesn’t. It’s kind of strange. Maybe, the formula is wrong. I don’t know. There may be a spheroid earth solution to this, but I’m not sure what it is exactly. Now, at the same time, there are things like flight times in the southern hemisphere and sunrises/sunsets that seem to make the FE model impossible. Anyway, just my two cents. The FE guys are not total idiots.

#2 – we southern hemisphere lot dont exist, then its possible. Lol
