your ability to connect dots is amazing.

The general public can’t just go for a weekend sail to Antarctica from the southern tip of Argentina (the closest point). They never have been and never will be. It takes a minimum of 48 hours in an ice-breaker to cross the Southern Ocean straits at the shortest crossing point. Research expeditions, annual base staff, and tourist ships will still be going there as normal but no one is about to try and sneak down there just for fun.The place is a wonderful international collaborative research area with extremely strict environmental rules that everyone obeys.

There are no sinister plans for any country to invade the place and set up base. Nor is it America’s to claim any more than it has. There is nothing to hide. They’re just restricting whaling and fishing etc, not that much can actually happen in the sanctuary zone anyway due to the chunks of sea ice in the area for much of the year. A ship can (and several have) be caught in bad weather and get stuck in sea ice, sometimes for weeks on end so, really, why not make the whole Southern Ocean a sanctuary?

This is the purpose of the human population, we are food for these beings. We are being farmed, some now are factory farmed and some are free range. I like to think of my self as free range. Most wars are nothing more than meat logistics. Thanks.
