Microsoft is hitting all-time new lows that are a gross privacy invasion to those of us on Windows 7 and 8.
Today, my machine automatically updated to Windows 10 while I went away for 15 minutes, even though I did not ask to install it. Turns out Microsoft just installed new vicious malware to take over your OS and install it without your knowledge or consent.

But here’s the icky part: The redesigned GWX pop-up now treats exiting the window as consent for the Windows 10 upgrade.
So after more than half a year of teaching people that the only way to say “no thanks” to Windows 10 is to exit the GWX application—and refusing to allow users to disable the pop-up in any obvious manner, so they had to press that X over and over again during those six months to the point that most people probably just click it without reading now—Microsoft just made it so that very behavior accepts the Windows 10 upgrade instead, rather than canceling it.
That’s gross.
And if you don’t find that small link to reschedule or cancel the Windows 10 upgrade—or, say, if the pop up appears while you’re away from your computer—your system will begin the process at the scheduled time. In other words, your PC can potentially upgrade to Windows 10 without you asking it to or explicitly approving the upgrade.

And this is why I have always used Macs. But now I can’t even afford a newer 5 year old Mac so had to go with blasted Eugenics Microsoft. Grrr. Not happy.

If Microsofty does that to any of my computers, I will have to go to Apple for resolutions. I don’t like iTunes and apple systems are a bit pricey, but still lookibg better than Micro$oft these days.

I was a PC/Windows user and advocate my whole life until I tried out a friend’s Mac. I instantly loved how user-friendly it was. Went and bought a MacBook Pro, about 5 years ago, and haven’t ever thought about switching back. I love my MacBook, and have never, ever had any issues with it. It is absolutely awesome.

Right! A computer that works? How novel is that? Before I even had a computer, Gates blew it for me when he agreed to put back doors for the feds into all of his software so that he wouldn’t get pegged in an antitrust action. Now, Mac isn’t that different, but it is still a much more dependable OS. My 07 war machine just won’t stop overheating, or I would still be using it. Grrr, again.

I don’t have any of that going on and i operate Windows 7. I suspect anyone who has that going on has Norton or MacAfee type virus and mal ware installed and running, which is where the back doors are… they are not in your basic system. Windows defender is all you need. Also, i use Firefox and it protects your system too. Remove the spy/mal ware from your computer in programs… then do a search for the COMPLETE REMOVAL KEY, which they don’t tell you you need – but it leaves tentacles and follow instructions.
People don’t want to believe you don’t need that crap on your computer… but you don’t. I haven’t had it in over eight years and i run trouble free. I don’t get so much as a hiccup. My sister got her first computer three years ago… i set it up for her… it ticked like a clock for three months until a friend of hers told her i was wrong and she needed that. My sister got scared and let her friend activate it… within a week, her computer got a trojan and crashed. She believes me now.
